“Fantastic Dive Centre”Reviewed 6 January 2013 2people found this review helpful- We found Cresta Dive Centre Fantastic during our stay in St Julians from 27 December 2012 to 3 January 2013. Casey and Dave were amazing.. My husband and son (aged 12 years) are the divers and they would certainly recommend this PADI 5* Dive Centre, to anyone wanting to do some diving whilst in Malta. Thanks for some fantastic diving.
“Cresta is like home...”Reviewed 15 April 2013: I applied there via e*mail to make make divemaster trainee. They accepted me. From the day i arrived to malta they helped me in every issue.. accommodation, transportation, the courses... everything was amazing... İ felt like i am at home.. They are very experienced in diving.. they are very helpful. They always use divemasters in every dive and the diving groups are at most 4 people.. its like private diving tour. You feel special..If you want to become a diver. Its the best place. They have their own training site that you don't need to travel with car to make dives. Its very safe and organized to dive with Cresta... Besides their friendship their professionalism is their signature... Cant wait to dive with them again...

Hywel DHad a great time brushing up and diving in the comfort of friendly and professional staff, a excellent dive centre worth of its Padi Stars and Bsca Awards :) Visited September 2012
Dave WatersThe staff are all really friendly and helpful and you are always made to feel welcome, whether you go your own or with a group. The diving is always done in small groups which keeps you closer to your instructor. I've been there 4 times now doing different speciality courses so that I have now qualified as a Master Scuba Diver. Visited October 2012
“Super friendly, professional, fun Dive Centre!!!”Have had two trips to Malta for diving with the great folks at Cresta! They are a very professional 5* Dive Centre. Loads of experience there and lots of local knowledge. Very friendly and organized. Handy location right next to St George's Bay and Paceville. Handy for local dive sites and the trips they organize to Comino are a real highlight. Malta has some of the best diving in the world and these guys really know how to make the most of it. If you have your Advanced then you can really make the most of it. Deep Diver also helps if you are feeling more adventurous (they do all of these if you want it). High quality gear (Mares etc), and very reasonable rates all inclusive. I look forward to returning back there when I can next. Bruce Williams
Tom Hayes- Oct 2012Scuba Diving in Malta ” Oct 17, 2012, 9:10 AM If your looking for a friendly professional dive centre while you're in Malta look no further than Cresta Dive Centre. I came to Malta especially to learn to dive with Cresta I have completed my PADI Open Water, and Advanced Open Water in just under one week. The service was top class. The instructors super friendly, very knowledgeable and welcoming. The dive sights were immensely breath taking, and i had great fun exploring the wrecks. I was even picked up and dropped off to my hotel daily. Couldn't fault anything, and I will be coming back very very soon
Summer 2012Great dive with you guys yesterday, couldn't recommend you highly enough, safe, friendly and a boat which is great for getting to less accessible dive sites - I will definitely dive with you guys on my next visit, keep up the good work :-) Elliott Richmond
July 2012"If your looking for a group of fun loving well trained professionals, look no further. I took my PADI Advanced open water course here for my 50th. (July 2012) And what is better than diving in perfect visibility with water only slightly cooler than a bath, All the necessary equipment was supplied in the price, and I was picked up from my hotel both mornings. A big thank you to the team who I would love to dive with again, a special thanks to Dave who is a font of all Knowledge and who will gladly share this with you. I hope to see you all again in the not too distant future." TTFN
Great Diving Centre- 18 June 2012Great experience, really friendly people. Fair with the charges and helpful every time. Did my open water with them plus two amazing dives at Santa Maria caves and p31 wreck, probably the time of my life
Visited February 2012Just wanted to tell any divers looking to go play in the beautiful waters off Malta, the best and only dive center you should use is cresta. I have dived all over the world and had the chance to use many dive centres and meet some great dive instructors but I would have to say that as soon as I called cresta resourcing who to use in Malta they have been the best to deal with. They have a great friendly approach but extremely professional environment. They are all so down to earth. I would say that they made my holiday and showed me the best places to see, under water. We even went out for dinner with kc, charlie and matt from cresta on my last night. If you are looking for a real diving experience give them a call. I can't recommend them high enough- I came away from Malta having had some great diving experiences, and having made some great friends. Ash Visited February 2012
Visited April 2012Very very friendly, reassuring, professional staff. Treated my teenage grandson brilliantly building his confidence and his expertise. Highly recommend anybody wanting to give this a go but are a bit apprehensive. Don't worry, contact Charlie and she'll guide you from there. A huge thank you to all at Cresta Visited April 2012
Malta 2012Charlie, Casey and the team are the best!! I dived with the Cresta team during the second week in May. Before i went out to Malta I had an e.mail exchange about water conditions, temperatures and equipment; and received both excellent and honest advice. Things only got better once I was picked up on the first day (you have to enjoy driving around in a battered jeep if you want to be picked up though, but this is fun, and its all included in the dive price). The welcome from Charlie was great....friendly and very professional. No cutting corners here on checking you and your documentation out, unlike some other dive centres i have used. All the instructors were great...again, very professional, but very friendly with it: they did not make me or any of the other customers feel like 'amateurs' compared to them, even when silly mistakes were made. I cannot comment on their actual instruction as I am AOW qualified and was there just to dive with them as guides.... but what impressed me was that they were subtly 'teaching' me how to improve my technique, how to stow my gear better etc. And by the end of the week I was feeling a lot more confident about my diving because of this. As important as their professional approach was their general attitude. They were the nicest bunch of people I have dived with, they all had a great sense of humour, and I felt like one of the family. And nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Gripes? None really. Thoroughly recommended, and I will use them on my next trip to Malta. Visited May 2012
Greeting Paul Coopmans from Holland, April 2012Just got back from Malta , did 2 days of diving there, 1 together with my daughter . She did a DSD there , and i was a bit worried because she is afraid of fish !! But i finally convinced her to join me for a dive. David did her best to calm her down and make her relax , after that it was no problem at all , she is still scared by fish , but she absolutele loved it !! The next day we went to the Blue Grotto with the wreck " Um El faroud " . In the capable hands of Lisa , Carmen and Matt ( you should change his nickname to beefburger and coke !!! ) we made 2 very nice dives there !! Thx guys , really liked the very relaxed atmosphere at your dive centre !! If i ever return to Malta , i know where to find you !!!
Thanks to all the Cresta team...Hi Charlie I just wanted to drop you a quick email, on behalf of Brendan and Aidan, to thank you for organising such a super course. They both had a brilliant time and haven't stopped raving about the dives - particularly the wreck dive, which was definitely the highlight of their holiday. The whole team were fantastic - so thank you! They are both hoping to come out and dive with you the year after next, when Aidan has finished his GCSEs! Thanks again, and have a good rest of the Summer! Best wishes Ann
Adele x 2Hi to everyone, Just a quick email to say a great thanx from myself and Lee, We had great fun diving and doing our advanced open water dive. I would like to say a big thank you to Matt, Phillipe, Kath and Coral for a wonderful diving experience. All your staff were great fun and made the whole experience very enjoyable. They welcomed us into the group and made us feel at ease. Thanks also to Steve for his lovely choice of music for the trips, can't remember the last time I heard S club 7. so a big thanks again Best wishes Adele x 2
Professional, friendly and generally outstandingMe and my girlfriend did our Open Water Course, Advanced Open Water Course and 2 more dives at Cresta and we could not be more pleased with the dive centre and it's staff. We first contacted Cresta after seeing the great reviews they had gotten at Trip Advisor and the service has been excellent all the way. We did our Open Water Course with Dave and one of the divemasters and the Advanced Open Water Course with Matt and Casey and what we appreciated the most was the individual attention and the small groups (generally it was me and my girlfriend, or me, my girlfriend and one more person, and one dive instructor/one dive instructor and a dive master). Everyone we dived with were very skilled and professional and made sure that we always felt safe, even on our very first dives. We also appreciated the fact that we got to do our Open Water Course out in the bay, not in a pool, which is sometimes the case. The water in Malta is warm and crystal clear and I'm extremely happy that we decided to do our course in Malta and at Cresta. oyvindb Oslo
Cresta are a good dive centre, customers are well looked after.Pre booked 3 days diving as part of a week's holiday. Very hepfull team throughout (Matt, Brian and Casey) including picking up and dropping off gear from my hotel. Experienced unseasonally poor weather including violent thunder storms night before first dive and generally unsettled for rest of week. Nevertheless, Cresta took us on some good dives mainly on wrecks in sheltered harbour sites. Final two dives at Cirkewwa (by Gozo ferry terminal) were great as weather had improved and dive on wreck of Roziat at 30 metres was excellent (see photos). Safety is clearly as priority and whilst I used my own gear, Cresta's equipment looked good. I am happy to recommend Cresta and would like to dive there again some time. Couldnt Fault At Any PointMe and my Dad did our PADI Open Water with Cresta encorperated into a family holiday, my Dad is already qualified under BSAC but I had done alot of diving previously but was unqualified. When we first got there we where greeted by Charlie who was very kind and helpful. During the dives we where with Casey for the first and Dave the rest. Apart from a "near stinging stinging on the head by a jellyfish experience" on the first dive, I felt we where always in safe hands. We always had a breifing before the dive of what we where going to do and before kitting up Dave always made sure we where OK to dive. Great dive centre, shame about not being able to do the Comino Dive! If we go back to Malta I know where I'm going to dive! Bex Bideford, United Kingdom
Malta is the best for watersports!Just want thank all of you at Cresta for having the patience to make me my PADI openwater course. I have done things this holiday that I will look back on for years. I was never enjoying water (as you now know Casey)but having spent 2 weeks making the openwater diver course and lots of other watersports in Malta I sure come back next year! Thank you guys Sven
Fantastic Dive Experience children and adults Cresta Diving centre MaltaCRESTA diving centre, Charlie, Casey and Matt thanks for a great week ( i hope you read this) Stayed in a hotel but wished I'd stayed at the self catering apartment with Matt. Went to see it and it is just perfect and very reasonable so will book it next March. Now the diving experience. Took my lad age ten for his junior open water and under the expert and patient guidance of Casey he passed with flying (or should I say diving) colours. Do not hesitate in recommending the cresta for young diving enthusiasts. Children are really well looked after, indeed if not enthusiastic before your kids will certainly be after, mine cant wait to go again and is so proud of his achievement, really enjoyed the dive at Cirkewwa. I haven't dived for 20 months so was a little apprehensive but should not have worried ,Matt took great care to re show me the ropes so to speak, he was a brilliant instructor and so patient. I was impressed with the attention to detail and felt very safe. I loved the atmosphere created by the staff at cresta and all the other divers who were a bunch of great guys, everyone had different experiences and skill levels but no one was made to feel out of it. I was the only female diver (lucky me). Water was so clear for November and amazing marine township, wreck diving was so popular maybe for me next time. the most amazing sea horse seen on one dive and Tuna well I will never open a can again without thinking of the fabulous experiences I had. I thought the prices were so reasonable as well with no hidden costs and the equipment was in perfect order. Anyone wanting to try diving in Malta I 100% recommend the Cresta diving centre it's relaxed yet efficient and so so friendly. So THANK YOU all at CRESTA for making my holiday a superb one and one to remember. Popple
Second Visit, Brilliant both times!Have just come back from a long weekend diving in Malta with Cresta. We first dove with Cresta by chance in June 2009 when in Malta on holiday. We were very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism we were shown while on our couple of days diving and absolutely loved the array of dive sites on Malta. We booked our return trip as soon as we got back. Our return trip was specifically for diving and again we were well looked after by Charlie, KC, Matt and Dave, from picking us up and dropping us off, to sorting us out well maintained kit to picking and guiding us around fantastic dive sites. This is a centre that well deserves its PADI 5* status. We have already booked our return trip for next spring! Anne & Martin, UK
good experience - nice people:)The dive in Cirkewwa made our holiday:)) Thanks to Casey, Matt and Charlie we had a very nice time - they are easy going, friendly, funny and proffesional. We will come back to Malta for sure for more dives and would recommend Cresta to every diver:)) Thanks guys and hope to see you again! Monika & Tomasz
I couldn't say it in one sentence!!!!I spent several weeks at cresta doing my divemaster course and it far exceeded my expectations in every way. While I was looking for a dive centre to go to naturally the first thing I did was check out the website photos to search for the best looking instructors! I found them (except the one I lived with was a gobshite). The communication I recieved from Charlie was excellent from the outset. She is always putting the welfare of her staff and ofcourse the customers first ensuring that everyone gets the best experience they could hope for, she succeeds. Out of all the dive centres I have visited over the years this one houses three of the best instructors I have ever had the pleasure of diving with, Casey, Matt and Dave. Thanks to you all and I look forward to returning again soon xx
BrilliantFantastic diving experience, we went as a family for our youngest (12) to continue his open water, but he and his brother went on to do the advanced together and therefore we were all able to dive as a family which was fantastic. The staff are really friendly and wellcoming, especially our fantastic instructor matt, whom took us out as a family quite a bit. Dive sites are excellent, fab wrecks, loved this, but our best was the caves..... luv luv luved this. Cabbie 2009
Professional, Friendly, Helpful, Fun, Good Value5 Days diving, 11 different dives including a night dive. Cresta were incredibly friendly and easy going. Prepared to cater for all abilities and yet still encourage you test yourself. The dive sites were superb and we didn't repeat a dive anywhere. Would return tomorrow if l had holiday and cash
Perfect for a family dive holidayOur children completed their Open Water with Cresta and we then dived together as a family for the rest of the week. we hand fed fish, swam through caves, visited an underwater shrine and even cuddled an octopus. The staff were safety conscious yet fun and enthusiastic and made sure we all had a fantastic holiday. Highly recommended
First but not last visitI have to agree with the two pervious reviews. I also went to Malta purely for the diving as it had been 6 mths since my last dive and wanted to just have a relaxing yet enjoyable diving experience, I went to the right place the whole team from the owners Charlie & Casey to dive instructors Matt & Dave (slinger) woods the word friendly optimises the whole team plus they are professional and mad at the same time I actually felt like one of the backroom crew they way that everyone helps each other. Their personal friend even make you feel very welcome from Ben, klass & his beautiful partner Yassa (who is a very budding underwater photographer) to Micheal and everyone else that contributed to my experience. The last thing I would like to say is that if you are currently a diver of any level they will look after you with get professionalism. However if you have yet to take the plunge (pardon the pun) and join the diving fraternity you couldn't and shouldn't go anywhere else for that first bubble experience as they even take you to see the randy squid that tried it on with me, eight arms/hands all at the same time that's what you call lucky, lol. Go on give them a go you will not regret it I didn't that's why I hope to go back in March as well to take my rescue course. See you all again guys, sooooooon. Andy.
Thanks Cresta team, 2010I just got back from a weeks diving in Malta and had the best time with everyone at Cresta Dive Centre. Charlie, Ray and Matt really made me feel welcolme and Dave - what can I say - he is the big teddy bear that helped me thorough my Rescue Diver course and he should get a award for his acting skills with his "panicked diver!" in need of rescue!! The centre is clean and tidy and everyone is soooo friendly and put me at ease as soon as I arrived. The Blue Hole day was fantastic and wreck diving was excellent - every diver should do the El Faroud! I recommend Cresta Dive Centre for courses and fun diving. Zoe
